Icknield Weekend Run
13TH-14TH JUNE - BLACK SPRING FARM, CASTLE BYTHAM, LINCOLNSHIRE, NG33 4RR
As in previous years we will meet at Black Spring Farm from 10 o'clock onwards. Modern cars and trailers can be left at the farm for the
weekend. there will be light refreshments. About 1 o'clock-ish we will go on a run of 40+ miles to the Bubble Car Museum, Langrick,
near Boston, Lincolnshire PE22 7AW. This will be our overnight stop for the evening, we are tagging on to one of the museum's own events.
Mike and Paula, who own the museum said they would put food on for the evening, probably in the form of a BBQ, this will incur a modest fee,
payable on the evening. They also brew their own cider on site. I will need to know numbers please for camping, evening food, and also Sunday lunch.
Sunday
In the morning, there will be time to look around the museum, and then about 12:30 pm we will go on a run to the Bluebell Pub. This is
where 617 Squadron, of the Dambuster fame, used as one of their watering holes. After lunch the run will resume heading back to Black Spring Farm.
Anyone wishing to make a break from route and head for home can do so at any time. Once back at Black Spring Farm, there will be tea and coffee if wanted, before making our way home.
