BSAs in sporting and semi-sporting events, 1930 till the present
When the first BSAs were launched at the end of the twenties it wasn't long before the motor sport fraternity realized the potential of this radical design for sporting competitions, soon events such as the MCC "Land's end trial" had BSA three-wheelers competing against (and beating!!) Morgans.
That very unique and dedicated group the "Special" builders also seized on the novel FWD layout as a base to build hill-climb cars, some of which defied the laws of mechanics as well as gravity. Nowadays there is still a hard core of people that still maintain this tradition, but sadly they are much fewer in number, however their enthusiasm remains undeminished,
