BSA FWD Club 2016 AGM & Dinner
Please note that this years AGM will be at the Golden Lion Hotel, Easenhall, Warwickshire
The BSAFWDC has always chosen city centre AGM locations and we'll be looking to see if this venue is more attractive to members. Easenhall is a village situated halfway between Rugby and Coventry a few miles from the M1/M6/A14 junction and the Fosseway. The AGM format will remain unchanged. The AGM will commence at 2:00p.m and be followed by topical presentations and an evening meal. The Golden Lion will however be running one of its popular wine-tasting evenings on the Friday evening (11th November). If anyone wishes to attend this they'll have to book to ensure a place. Overnight accommodation is available at a room rate of £80.00 per double room B&B; (£70 for a double room occupied as a single, and there are two single rooms at £58 B&B;). There are some 17 modern rooms, all en-suite. Bar snacks will be available in the main bar at Saturday lunchtime. Tea and coffee will be provided in the meeting room during the AGM. For anyone staying over into Sunday, the Golden Lion has a Sunday Lunch carvery which needs to be booked because again, it's popular. There is ample off-road car parking behind the hotel. The car park is on top of a steep bank and hidden from the minor road through the village, if anyone comes in a BSA. For those not wishing to stay for the meeting, the Hotel have details of local country walks, weather permitting, or Rugby town centre is about a 5 miles drive away. Mr Weale will as usual be organising arrangements and collecting money for the meal. We'll be publishing the meal details in the near future. | ||
