The Club runs a programme of events, and individual members often compete in various trials and rallies. Our AGM is held in October in Coventry and our National Rally is held in July. The Club organises a number of rallies from April to December and has a regular stand at the Beaulieu Autojumble in September.

Holly Run 2002

Members were invited to meet at the Anchor, Lower Froyle, Hampshire at between 12.30 and 1.00pm on Sunday 8th December 2002.

The day turned out to be foggy, cold and damp, and after an extended indoor competition negotiating the course to the bar and back, it was found to be too late for the the traditional holly-gathering, so the party adjourned to Mr Cook’s house early.

Two members did turn out in BSA Scouts - Peter Cook, the Chairman and John Wise, the latter facing a round trip of some 120 miles, over half after dark. Fortunately he has a 12v light conversion!

The photographs below are of the Peter Cooks S4 scout and John Wise’s 1935 Series 1 in the Car Park. Mr Cook can be seen in background demonstrating the latest styles in extra thermal padding whilst still fitting behind the wheel.

Attention is drawn to the small size of the club. Non-members are always welcome to visit venues and see our cars, but remember that at some rallies only 1-2 historic vehicles may be present and a “good” National Rally turn-out may be 25-30 vehicles. Our events are staged accordingly.
