I can see how to tip the fore-end back a little but how do I bring the aft-end up and forward to meet the tops of the doors? The door catches only just engage leaving a gap of 8mm or so. All advice gratefully received.

Series 6 fuel tank and steering wheel
The steering wheel fitted as bought is a 17" Bluemel's Brooklands. The fit onto the boss seems to be a press-fit onto a 3 1/8" diam spigot on the boss. No location/key/spline is visible. The only retaining arrangement I can see is the 3 x 1/4" x 3/4" set-screws that hold the cover plate in position - and coincidentally sandwich the wheel weakly in position. This hardly seems adequate. Does anyone know what the proper wheel type, size and fixing should be?]]>
